I graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1990 with a foundation of Graphic Design and Illustration knowledge, based largely on tools that are now obsolete. Once the computer revolution took hold of the entire field of Commercial Art, I applied what I had learned and dived head-first into digital. My client list includes Target, Disney, Paramount Pictures, Marvel Comics and a long list of large and small businesses over the course of my 20-year career as a working Artist.
Graphic Design and Illustration is more than the sum of its parts. I treat each design as ART, and build that artwork carefully, adhering to the rules of design (yes, there are rules) while pushing the creative boundaries whenever possible. I don't consider an illustration or design completed unless I am certain it reaches the limit of what is possible, both in terms of quality and function. My portfolio is an extension of who I am.
